This meditation will help you to relieve pain and relax for pain that is a 7 or less on a 1-10 scale. This has been used effectively in hospitals to help patients lower or completely eliminate pain by one of the world's most experienced guided meditation practitioners.

And now we're going to drop into deep rest and relaxation and comfort for your body.

Please give yourself permission to fall asleep if you can.

So take a moment to get in a very relaxed,

Comfortable,

Cozy position.

We're just going to start to breathe into the body gently and as deeply as you can in a comfortable way.

And as you're breathing in,

I want you to imagine that you are surrounded by a cloud.

And this cloud is anesthesia.

It provides relief for any pain,

Any discomfort.

And you can imagine that this cloud of anesthesia that's floating all around you is a special color,

A color that represents comfort,

Relief.

Just sensing this cloud gently surrounding all of your body from head to toe.

And as it surrounds you,

It starts to feel like a gentle,

Comforting,

Cozy blanket.

Perfectly warm,

Perfectly soft.

Like a nice,

Gentle hug.

And you can feel it wrapping around you.

You can feel it start to seep into the skin,

Absorbed by the skin.

You can start to feel a gentle sensation like heavy,

Warm liquid being absorbed all around you,

Sinking deep into the skin,

Deeper into the tissues of your body,

Even deeper into the bones.

And as this beautiful,

Gentle,

Soothing anesthesia is being absorbed into the body,

You can imagine that it's going into the bloodstream.

And as your heart is gently pumping and circulating the blood through your body,

It's also delivering this comforting,

Warm,

Soothing anesthesia.

And you can feel it going directly to any place that's been feeling pain or discomfort of any kind.

And every single breath that you take,

Every single inhale is welcoming that cloud of anesthesia deeper and deeper into your body.

It's inviting the blood to deliver that anesthetic to every part of your body evenly and smoothly,

Allowing the breath to be gentle and as deep as possible while still staying comfortable.

Every inhale welcoming in that sense of deep comfort and relaxation,

That deep sense of relief.

And with every exhale,

You can imagine releasing some of the pain,

Some of the discomfort.

You can imagine what color that pain,

That discomfort may be.

Imagine as you're exhaling,

Watching it leave your body,

Sensing it leave your body.

Every single inhale welcoming in that sense of relief,

Softening,

Soothing,

Comforting.

Every exhale releasing and letting go.

And imagining all that you're letting go is floating out into outer space,

Way far out there in outer space.

It's a black hole.

And all of that pain and all of that discomfort that you're releasing with every single exhale is being sucked in to that black hole,

Being pulled away and dissolved forever.

Now you might start to feel that your body is getting lighter because of this sense of relief.

Or you might start to sense that your body is getting heavier as you relax and sink deeper and deeper into that comfortable position.

Whether you're getting lighter or heavier,

You can sense with every single breath that you are welcoming in relief,

Comfort,

Soothing.

Every exhale releasing,

Letting go and watching what was previously pain,

Discomfort,

Any sort of physical suffering,

It's leaving the body with the exhale and being drawn to that black hole,

Being sucked in to that black hole and disappearing forever.

And as you continue to take nice,

Deep,

Gentle,

Full breaths honoring your comfort,

You can bring extra relief,

Extra comfort,

And extra soothing to your body by imagining that there is next to one of your hands or maybe both of your hands,

A bucket.

A bucket full of anesthetic liquid.

And you can bring your hands and gently dip them into the bucket or the buckets and feel that warm,

Soothing,

Comforting,

Anesthetic liquid coating your hands.

And you can bring that soothing,

Comforting relief to any part of your body by simply bringing your hands to that place.

And this liquid is the same color as this gentle,

Comforting cloud that's wrapped around you,

Representing deep healing,

Deep comfort,

Relief.

And every place you bring your hand,

It's covered with this soothing,

Anesthetic liquid,

Starting to feel even more relief.

Maybe it comes in the form of warmth or a tingling sensation or a numbing sensation.

Whatever it is,

Welcome it in and take your time.

Take your time to deliver this healing,

Soothing,

Comforting,

Relieving anesthetic from this bucket to your body.

And when you feel complete applying this extra relief with your hand or your hands,

You can relax even more deeply now and knowing that every single inhale will continue to invite this sense of soothing,

Comfort,

And relief deeper and deeper into your body.

So deep it goes all the way into the tiniest particles that make up who you are.

It's almost as if this warm,

Soothing,

Anesthetic liquid and this comforting anesthetic cloud are bringing in codes that are rewiring the nervous system,

That are informing the cells of your body to start signaling comfort,

Relief,

Soothing,

Relaxation.

The only thing there is to do is to continue to relax,

To soften and open your body by simply breathing gently and fully in,

Welcoming in that supportive cloud,

Breathing out and releasing any discomfort.

So continue to allow yourself to relax deeper and deeper and staying focused on this color that represents relief,

Comfort,

Soothing,

Restfulness.

And imagine that every part of you is turning this color because you are fully saturated with this comforting relief.

See it,

Feel it filling you up,

Being absorbed by every single part of your body from your head all the way down to your toes,

From the center of your body all the way out to the edges of your skin and then beyond into that cloud that's gently holding and surrounding you.

It feels like this cloud is watching over you,

Protecting you,

Helping you to feel like you can completely surrender,

You can completely relax and receive all of the healing,

Comforting benefits of this anesthetic,

The liquid that your hands have lovingly delivered to your body and this gentle cloud surrounding you.

Allow yourself to feel health.

Allow yourself to let go of anything that's troubling or heavy on your heart,

Your mind.

Again releasing it with the exhale,

Noticing the color of what you're letting go of and watching it go up,

Up,

Up into outer space and being sucked in by that black hole and dissolved forever.

You have permission to rest here,

To renew,

To receive deep comfort and relief as long as you want.
